Day : 1 - Rafting at Shivpuri

On day 1 after picking you up from airport, we shall head to Rishikesh the yoga capital of the world. Depending on the time of our arrival in Rishikesh we can plan the activities for the day. The drive from Delhi to Rishikesh takes approximately 5 hours so if you can make an early arrival at Delhi, we can accommodate the maximum activities at Rishikesh and around. On reaching Rishikesh we shall check into your hotel first and from there we shall head out to try out the must-do activity around there which is White water rafting at Shivpuri. At Shivpuri, you can enjoy the thrilling white water rafting in the rapids of a wild Ganga river. You shall be doing an approximately 10 km stretch of rafting, which will leave you wanting a lot more when you complete the stretch. After finishing the rafting we shall head back to your resort in Rishikesh where you can explore the town, the temple, and the rituals by the Ganga in the evening, which makes the town famous.

Day : 2 - Dehra Dun and Mussorie

The drive to Mussorie from Rishikesh takes just over 2 hours only so in case if we do miss out on the rafting in Shivpuri the previous day on day 2 we have enough time to do that. The route to Mussorie from Rishikesh passes through the capital of Uttarakhand state the delightful Dehra Dun city. On the way up to Mussorie hill station we shall be visiting an extremely interesting site, called The Robbers Cave. A 600-meter long cave through which a wild river gushes through and at the end of the cave there is a magical waterfall awaiting the visitors. We have 2 waterfalls lined up on the way to Mussorie. The first one being a short trek and spending some time or a dip in the Shikhar falls and the second one being a ropeway ride to the Bhata falls. Both the experiences are very different from each other through both of them involve water falls, the short ropeway ride to reach the Bhata falls will make this unique. Since we still will be left with a lot of time after both the activities we have the rest of the time to explore around Mussorie.

Day : 3 - Tour around Mussorie

On Day 3 we shall tour around the wonderland that is Mussorie. Mussorie is a hill station that is set just at 35 kilometers from Dehradun the capital city of Uttarakhand state. Mussorie is set at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level and for which reason, the climate in Mussorie remains very pleasant during the nonwinter months and to very cold weather with heavy snowfalls during winter time. While in Mussorie we shall visit 3 more destinations to get the best out of this wonderful hill station. Our first stop is Mossy falls and then we shall head to the Jharipani waterfalls. In both the waterfalls other than the wonderful trek to take you there, you can also enjoy swimming if you wish to. By afternoon we can go further up to Landour, the very Colonial neighborhood of Mussorie hill station. While in Landour we can visit the Landour Bakehouse to enjoy the afternoon tea with some freshly baked goodies to go along with. Landour has beautiful and pristine nature all around and a trip to Landour will be incomplete without a nature trail.

Day : 4 - Nahan and Solan

On Day 4 of the trip we shall be heading on a long drive from Mussorie to Solan. The beautiful hill drive takes about 5.5 hours and we shall pass through some among the greenest vistas in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. On the way we shall come across Nahan where we can stop for lunch. Post lunch the drive from Nahan to Solan takes about 2.5 hours. On reaching we shall check into our resort where you can spend the rest of the afternoon taking in and relaxing by the beautiful mountain views around.

Day : 5 - Toy train ride to Shimla

Day 5 of the trip is made quite interesting by including a stretch of the Unesco heritage Toy train ride to the ever popular hill station of Shimla. From Solan railway station we will do the leg of 50 km train ride to Shimla up the hills in the world famous toy train. The train ride takes about 2.5 hours and you should reach Shimla by about 4.30 PM. The car will follow you and reach Shimla to receive you by the time you come out of the railway station in Shimla. The rest of the evening you can spend around the Mall road and parts of Shimla. Shimla is a very busy and popular tourist spot since it is one among the closest hill getaways from Chandigarh and Delhi and hence it can get quite crowded. Due to this reason we shall not extend our stay in Shimla city beyond the 4th day of the trip.

Day : 6 - Shimla to Prini

On day 5 we shall brace ourselves for a whole day road trip from Shimla to Prini in Manali. The drive is long but very pretty so that you dont get bored of the sights. You shall have lovely river views almost the entire stretch of the road and en route we pass through the Kulu Valley to reach Prini just before Manali.

Day : 7 - Activity packed Manali

Day 6 will be an activity packed day in and around Manali. Depending on the spare time we have and depending on the time of the year we are traveling we can squeeze in a visit to Rohtang pass set at an elevation of 400 meters above sea level it is about 2 hours drive from Manali. If we are making this trip during the summer time we still have chance to experience some snow in Rohtang Pass, if we miss it in Manali. Rohtang pass enjoys snowfall 9 months in an year and there is high chance that we can still come across some snow at most time of the year we go there. Other than the plan we have already enough activities planned up for Manali, the star activity being a spectacular Paragliding trip enjoying the magnificent Himalayan views. Also lined up for the day is an array of activities at the Solang valley depending on the time of the year we travel, and if there is enough snow it can include Skiing and Snow scooter ride. But across the year we shall be able to enjoy the chair lift ropeway across Solang valley and the paragliding activity.

Day : 8 - Dharamshala, Macleod Ganj

On day 7 we set out on another whole day drive to MacLeod Ganj region in Dharamshala. The drive is a bit of a long haul but it is spectacular passing through the more greener patches in the Mountain range at this part of Himalayas. Just the sights on the way will be enough to keep you engaged during this long drive. En route we shall take a short trek to reach the beautiful Bhagsunag falls. While in Macleod Ganj we shall visit the Namgyal Buddhist monastery.

Day : 9 - Dalhousie and Khajjar

On day 8 we set out on a 4 hour drive from MacLeod Ganj to Khajjar which is called the Mini Switzerland of India, with its wide expanse of green meadows. On the way we shall pass through Dalhousie town. At Khajjar we have lined up quite a few activities including horse ride and nature walk. After visiting Khajjar we shall head to Kalatop wild life sanctuary area another popular spot around Dalhousie.

Day : 10 - Some Historic sites

Day 9 being our last leg on the hills we shall visit some historic sites and stay in pleasant Palampur region. The entire drive for the day should be in the region of 6 hours and with the stop overs we can expect it to take the whole day so we can make hope to make an early start from Khajjar. Our first stop would be the Kangra fort. The Kangra Fort was built by the royal Rajput family of Kangra. Our second stop would be at Baijnath Temple a Hindu temple situated in a small town of Baijnath. It was built in 8th Century by two local merchants and it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. By late afternoon we shall return to Palampur town region and we shall have enough time to explore it.

Day : 11 - Chandigarh City beautiful

On day 10 we shall leave the hills behind and drive down to the plains to reach Chandigarh, otherwise called the city beautiful. Chandigarh is the first planned city of India and it is the capital city of 3 states, Punjab, Haryana and it is a union territory by itself. On reaching Chandigarh we will still be left with some time explore this beautiful city, and we can hope to cover the best parts of the city.

Day : 12 - And back to Delhi

On the 11th day we head back to Delhi. Its a 5 hour drive from Chandigarh and we should reach Delhi by early afternoon.. On reaching Delhi we shall have a short tour of the Parliament and the central region and the India gate. Delhi being a vast city it is not possible to visit throughout in just an afternoon so we shall limit our sight seeing only to the central parts of New Delhi and proceed to check into your hotel.

Day : 13 - Last day of the trip

The last day of the trip we can plan it according to your return flight timing. If time permits we can do more city sightseeing, especially around the new parts of the NCR, being the Glamorous Gurgaon region of the city. After that you can be dropped off to the airport to catch your flight back home.
