Day : 1 - The Golden Temple

On day 1 of the trip after picking you up from Chandigarh airport, we shall head to Amritsar making our way through Ludhiana the second largest city of the state. We can make a pitstop in Ludhiana for lunch and then proceed on towards Amritsar. We hope to reach Amritsar by afternoon and we shall visit the Golden temple first before we proceed to check into the hotel for the night stay.

Day : 2 - Dalhousie and Khajjar

On day 2 we set out on a 4 hour drive from Amritsar to Khajjar which is called the Mini Switzerland of India, with its wide expanse of green meadows. On the way we shall pass through Dalhousie town. At Khajjar we have lined up quite a few activities including horse ride and nature walk. After visiting Khajjar we shall head to Kalatop wild life sanctuary area another popular spot around Dalhousie.

Day : 3 - To Patnitop

From Khajjar we shall head to another popular hills station in Jammu, which is the Patnitop. The drive is pretty exciting as we shall be taking the Himalayan route to Patnitop and its views are nothing short than stunning. Its a long drive taking the whole day and we hope to reach Patnitop only by late afternoon. Being a long day we have not planned any activities in Patnitop, so we shall head straight to the resort where we can relax for the night with lovely mountain views from the room.

Day : 4 - A day well spend in Patni

The 4th day of the trip we shall just spend in Patnitop and explore some places around. We can also do a short trek to Madhatop. We have also included a horse ride in Patnitop. During wintertime there is an array of fun snow activities to be done in Patnitop.

Day : 5 - The beautiful Srinagar

On day 5 we head to the beautiful Srinagar city, the capital of Kashmir. The drive is pretty long taking about 6 hours so we shall expect the whole day to be on the road. And on reaching Srinagar what better way to stay than on a houseboat in the Dal lake.

Day : 6 - Srinagar tour

On day 6 we take a tour of the beautiful city of Srinagar. The highlight of the day offcourse being the shikara ride through the Dal lake and its far reaches. We shall also be visiting the Mughal gardens and the Tulip gardens.

Day : 7 - The Dras and Kargil

On day 7 we take on a 5 and half hour road trip from Srinagar to Kargil. It passes through the beautiful high mountain valley of Dras and the road skirts around the river Zaskar through out. Kargil and Dras region is part of a high altitude cold desert and it is a beautiful but can also get extremely cold as less as -30 Degrees Celsius. Dras has recorded upto -60 degrees during winter so we recommend all travelers to carry the warmest winter clothing especially for this leg of the journey. We shall pass through the Zoji la Pass situated at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level to reach the Dras valley.

Day : 8 - And headed to Leh

And on day 8 we are headed to the capital region of Ladakh, Leh. The drive from Kargil to Leh takes about 5 hours and the lanscape pretty much remain the same through the cold desert. Leh is situated at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level and is again a cold desert region skirted by the mighty Indus river. Leh is filled with sights and things to do so we shall spend 2 nights in this wonderland of a city.

Day : 9 - Kahrdungla Top and Leh

On day 9 we shall set out on a drive to that spot in the world where you can drive to, as high as it can get. Yes we shall drive to Khardungla top set at an astounding 5359 meters above sea level. We shall pass through the Khardungla pass which is known to be the highest motorable road in the world. After passing Khardungla we shall head to the Nubra valley where we shall do a ride on the double-humped Bactrian Camels at the sand dunes of Hunder, set in the Nubra valley.

Day : 10 - The Cystal Clear lake

On day 10, we make another early start from Leh to include just 2 activities in Leh itself. The first one being a visit to the Buddhist monastery of Humas and then we shall visit the Leh Palace. We can expect to leave for the Pangong lake shortly after lunch from Leh itself. The drive to Pangong should take about 3 hours and we hope to reach the spectacular Pangong lake by 3 or so. And at Pangong we we meet the title of the trip, with its Crystal clear waters set in a cold desert surrounded by snow clad mountains, it is truly spectacular.. We shall check into a hotel set by the lake for you to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing as per your wish.

Day : 11 - A night by Indus river

On this day we shall set out on a relatively shorter drive to Karu region. The drive should take about 2 hours from Pangong lake and we can leave when you have had enough relaxation by the lake. On reaching Karu, its another kind of relaxation and activities awaiting you. Karu is set by the Indus river with beautiful views of the mountains around. We can visit the village and get to know the village life in Ladakh if you like else you can just spend the rest of the afternoon here in a relaxed manner as per your wish.

Day : 12 - Wild side of Ladakh

On day 12 we shall set out on a 5 hour drive through the cold deserts of Ladakh to reach the wildest and most dramatic sceneries of Ladakh at the Sarchu valley. Sarchu is famous for its campsites and this night we shall spend in one among the better camps in Sarchu. This evening you will probably see the most stars than you have ever, as you sit by a bonfire in the middle of just emptyness and wilderness all around you.

Day : 13 - Activity packed Manali

Day 13 we shall set out early from Sarchu to meet and an activity packed day in and around Manali. En route we shall pass through the beautiful Jispa valley and the Rohtang pass set at an elevation of 4000 meters above sea level. We can reach Manali early enough for a ropeway ride at Solang valley and Snow scooter ride if the travel time happens to be during winter.

Day : 14 - Kulu Valley and Shimla

On Day 15 we shall finally start descending the hills to the plains of Punjab. The drive from Shimla to Chandigarh is hardly 3 hours so we can leave by early afternoon to reach the city of Chandigarh, otherwise called the city beautiful. Chandigarh is the first planned city of India and it is the capital city of 3 states, Punjab, Haryana and it is a union territory by itself. On reaching Chandigarh we will still be left with some time explore this beautiful city, and we can hope to cover the best parts of the city.

Day : 16 - Last day of the trip

On the last day of the trip we can do further sight seeing of the city before dropping you off to the Chandigarh international airport to catch your return flight back.
