Day : 1 - Beautiful Wayanad

On day 1 we leave from Mysore to reach, Wayanad to explore this wonderful hill district of North Kerala. En route we shall pass through the Bandipur and Muthanga national park region, giving us plenty of chances to spot the abundant wildlife esp elephants on the forest roads. Wayanad has a lot of attractions for the travelers to begin with we can head to Edakkal caves, where you can see the pre-historic era cave drawings. After Edakkal caves we shall visit the Pookkot lake to enjoy boating in the beautiful lake. And the evening can be spend relaxing in the sounds of the forests and the misty surroundings around our resort.

Day : 2 - Waterfalls and Rainforests

On day 2, we shall set out to go on a 6-hour and 200 km long but beautiful drive to Athirapally waterfalls through the highlands and middle lands of the Malabar region to reach. We shall target to reach Athirapally waterfalls by about 4 PM. After spending time around Athirapally we shall check into our resort where you can relax for the evening.

Day : 3 - Kodanad Elephant Kraal and Munnar

On day 3 of the trip, we shall leave from Athirapally falls region and take a forest route to reach the Kodanad elephant kraal, where the wild elephants are trained and nurtured by the Kerala forest department. From Kodanad we shall head on to the road to Munnar passing through more forest roads and coming across multiple waterfalls en route still expect to reach Munnar by about 4 PM in the evening. On reaching Munnar we shall check into our resort to relax for the rest of the evening.

Day : 4 - A day in Munnar

On Day 4 we have an exciting day around the Kannan Devan Hills of Munnar. Munnar is a hill station in Kerala that is situated at a height of 1600 meters above Sea Level and ranging up to 2695 meters above sea level in the Anamudi peak region. The hills of Munnar are the tallest it gets in the mountain ranges south of the Himalayas. Munnar experiences pleasant weather due to its high altitude across the year and in the winter the temperatures even plummeting to subzero temperatures. Our day in Munnar is packed with as much as we can cover in 1 day. We can begin with going on a drive to the Top station region along the way passing through the Lake district of Munnar. In the Mattupetty dam region, we can do boating and a short elephant ride too. After that, we can drive further up the road along which we shall come across more waterbodies that the region is famous for and can continue the scenic drive up to the top station where the regular road ends. By afternoon we can proceed to Suryanelli from where we can hire a 4 wheel jeep for an exciting offroad drive to reach the Kolukkumalai. Kolukkumalai viewpoint is situated at a height of 2200 meters above sea level and the sceneries are nothing short of spectacular. A narrow 3 - 4 meter wide path separates the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu on both sides of the hills and the walk through the path with just astounding scenery on both sides will definitely be one of the most memorable parts of this trip for you. After finishing the Kolukkumalai trip we can return to our hotel where you can relax for the evening in the misty surroundings.

Day : 5 - Ootty the queen of hills

Halt L1 - Anaimalai Tiger Reserve, Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, India

Activities - Drive through Indira gandhi National Park Tiger sanctuary

On day 5 we shall leave from Munnar on a 7-hour long and 250 km long drive to reach Ootty, otherwise called the queen of hills, in Tamil Nadu state. From Munnar we shall pass through the wildlife sanctuary area of Indira Gandhi national park and finally descend onto the plains of Tamil Nadu state and head towards Coimbatore and thereon to Mettupalayam and the ascending the Nilgiri hills in the western ghats range passing through Coonoor and finally to reach Ootty by about 6 PM or so. Situated at a height of 2500 meters above sea level, you can expect Ooty to be cold year-round and mostly touching single-digit temperatures even during summers. Light woolens are highly recommended for your trip to Ootty.

Day : 6 - A Day in Ootty.

On day 6 of the trip, we shall explore Ootty and some of its beautiful locales. While in Ootty we shall visit the Pykara lake and waterfalls and at the famous popular movie shooting spot the Wenlock downs 9th mile. In the afternoon you can take a leisurely toy train ride to Coonoor and from Coonoor we shall pick you up from the railway station to head back to Ootty.

Day : 7 - The Last day of the trip

The last day of the trip we shall leave Ootty and head towards Mysore, through the Masinagudi ghats, and thereon through the Mudumalai and Bandipur national park region before we land on the Deccan plateau of Karnataka state. The drive from Ootty to Mysore is just about 125 km and takes about 3.5 hours of leisurely drive. On the way, we can positively hope to catch some wildlife sightings in the Bandipur wildlife sanctuary region, and if lucky, mostly even big cats.
